In November 2010, the citizens of Carlsbad will be asked to select a new mayor to succeed Mayor Claude E. "Bud" Lewis, who has held the post since 1986. Matt Hall, who has served on the Carlsbad City Council since 1994, is the logical choice to succeed Mayor Lewis and usher in a new generation of leadership rooted in the fiscal responsibility and common sense that have been a hallmark of Carlsbad city government for the past two decades.
